Hello!!
I have installed the latest Apache version on Windows Vista and it works fine
as a service , and i also get the expected screen on 'localhost'.
But when i try to access the web pages from another computer , i get various errors.
My Apache is running on a computer 'behind' a wirelles router ( Linksys ) , and is listening on port 80 ( as instructed ). I tried 'pinging' my ip ( actualy , the routers ip ) from another computer , and it responds. Also i scanned the traffic with "Ethereal" and there is actual traffic between the two computers , BUT , no result when i try to access the "index.html".
I tried with various browsers , but the result is more or less the same.
The latest development is that i get steadily a reply from the 'external' browser :
" the document contains no data"... ( Seems like he made the connection , but got nothing from it.... )
Could please anyone help me and give me a clue of what should i do?
I should also mention that no firewall is running on the computer , except for
the external one that runs in the router , which is supposed to be bypassed when do port-forwarding for port 80....
I thank you all in advance!!!!
Elias
