Server Configs to host 500 concurrent users website?

I have built a website (PHP MySQL) which may have approx 100 to 500 concurrent users.
What kind of hardware configurations are required for a Linux Server to host it?..

Or if I have to choose a hosting solution, what should I choose?..
eg. GoDaddy's virtual dedicated server or dedicated server.
