Finding Jet SQL Help

Introduction:
This seems like a very straightforward topic. Why would anyone need help finding MS Access Help related to this topic?
I can't really answer that except to say that I know from experience that many do. I myself spent a great deal of time under the impression that it was non-existent.

How to Find it:
Different versions of MS Access structure their help systems differently, so don't expect it to be in the same place for each version.

The most important point to remember is that it is all found in the MS Access Help system and not in the Visual Basic Help system.

Here are the two methods I use to find what I need. They produce slightly different results, so both may come in handy sometime.

  1. From MS Access select Help / Microsoft Access Help.

Navigate to the Contents section (however this is done in the version you're using) and look down the list for the topic that most closely matches Microsoft Jet SQL Reference.
  2. As above, but instead of using the Contents tree system, search in the Answer Wizard for the string "jet sql". This should bring up a short list including a fairly full reference of all the reserved words for Jet SQL.
Conclusion:
Although the help for Jet SQL is quite hard to find, the information in there can be invaluable for anyone working directly with the SQL itself.
