Importing data from excel into an Access FORM or copying and pasting

Hi all,

I am trying to find if it is possible to import data from excel into an access form.

As of now, at my job we are using one form to log data for raw materials we receive. Each unit of raw material has an ID number, supplier number and date and length values (the ID numbers are always in sequential order). We have been individually entering these values into the access form, which is time consuming. Being able to autofill values in excel is a really useful tool that isn't available in access, so I was hoping I could possibly enter everything into excel and then import it over the same way you would import from excel to an access table. However, as far as I can tell there is no way to import to a form the way there is to import to a table.

If anyone can help it would be very appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand. Data is stored in tables not forms.

However, you can use a linked Excel table as the record source for a form. Doing that doesn't mean the data has been imported to an Access table

Note also that linked Excel files are read only in Access
