Can we go to Design mode of Access File MDE?

My friend give me and MDE file designed by someone and he lost the original file now he is trying to change company name in that file so can i tried to goto design mode but in MDE file i cant. is there any way to go into design mode ?

No. The actual file structure itself has been changed. All the code has been compiled into machine language that can't be "reverse engineered" at that point.

No - without the original file, you cannot modify an MDE file.

can you not just change the file extension from .MDE to .MDB?

Unless the company name is saved in a table, the only way to do this is to employ the services of a specialist company such as EverythingAccess run by Wayne Phillips. However you will have to confirm ownership of the file and be warned that it will be expensive.

If that's not an option, consider rebuilding the application and all code as an MDB or ACCDB file
