a new customer is being created when I save a new invoice, how can I stop the new rec

I have a main form and a subform, I use a customers table to populate the name and address etc on an invoice, when I save the new record it creates a record in the invoice table and the products table which is good but it also create a new record in the customers table which is not needed, how can I correct this?

The detail of what's wrong with your original approach hasn't been included in the question. Often people just ignore such questions but it probably helps if you understand why no-one wants to deal with it.

Always ask yourself what you would make of the question as written, always trying to forget what you already know but which isn't written down.
