Input data from laptop and upload to NAS for report output.

Hopefully this can be accomplished. Here is what I need to be able to accomplish.....

I need to use an access database to input data on a laptop. Then upload that data to storage. After uploading to NAS i need to use a front end from desktop to output reports. Can this be accomplished? The intent is to collect data and then store and manipulate it from storage.

captain 5249,

Welcome to Bytes!

It is probably as simple as having the back end of your DB on the NAS. That is nothing new, unless I don't understand your unique situation.

This article on Working with Front Ends and Back Ends may be helpful.

Let me know if there are special circumstances of which we are not aware.

Hope this hepps!
