Todays Date

P: 1
In Access 2010 can I make a field populate the current date each time the database is opened?

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers

Just to be clear Ivan, I suspect you're actually asking about a Control on a Form or Report. Fields are another matter and your question would have to specify what you're after more clearly for more accurate and practical help.

If it's simply to show then that works fine - in a Query for instance. If you're looking for an existing field to be updated to reflect the day it was opened last then you need to explain what you want more clearly. Very short questions such as this very rarely give enough information to make proper sense. Some more effort is usually required and expected.
