How to create a form with 2 different images from one single attachment field?

Hi everybody,

I created a database with about 4.000 entries and for each entry 2 pictures in one single attachment field. One of the purposes of this database is to create a form where I can view all data and the two pictures. I'm having trouble setting the form so that the two pictures are shown in 2 separate fields (if I add 2 picture fields, they show as default the same picture). Anybody could help me out with this?

Thanks everybody!!!

fvaninetti,

Welcome to Bytes!

Attachment fields in MS Access can be a bit tricky. From what I understand, you must save the attachments before you can use them as you describe.

I am not sure how far along you are in your 4,000 entries, but if you know that you will always have only two images for each record, then, a better way to do this would be to have a separate folder in a common location that stores all your images. Then, have two fields in each record which point to the file location/filename. Then, you are able to display the images on your forms/reports using those locations/filenames.

I hope this makes sense as to what to do. I can provide further guidance, if needed.

Hope that hepps!
