Product Defect Report Visibility

Good afternoon all!

I am working on a database in Access 2016 in which I am collecting data about defects of a specific product. I have a 'data' table and an 'all data' query. The data table includes the following information:

ID
Date Emailed
Order #
Unit #
Unit Description
Material #
Material Description
Purchase Location
Defect Category
Defect Notes
Images (Attachment)
Carton DMG? (Yes/No)

I want to be able to send this information out to various individuals and I want them to be able to see all of the attachments - of which there can be upwards of four. What is the best way to do this?

Thank you for your help!

ChristaPCA,

Welcome to Bytes!

As far as I know, the only way to send an attachment from an attachment field is to save the file first, then attach it. It requires those two steps, as the Attachment field is not quite the same as simply attaching a Word Document (for example). Also, the .Attachments properties in Outlook require a string "Path\Location\Filename" to attach the file.

Not sure how much this hepps. But, it is possible to do what you are asking.

That's about the size of it.

Your first step is to decide which format you want the data to be distributed in. Once that's done you create the data in that format and attach it to an email.
