Convert Access Report to Word/RTF Retain Formatting

42
Does anyone know of VBA code or software to use to retain formatting when converting Access report to Word/RTF?

I've not heard of an option to export to Word, per se, but you can export to RTF which can be imported into Word. Such an export will retain any formatting supported by RTF but that's not a great deal. I expect you want more than that but I've not heard of anything that will give you that.

Older versions can be exported to Snapshot (SNP) format but that requires a Snapshot Viewer to read. Newer versions can print directly to PDF format. Both of these keep all formatting but are not opened by Word - at least neither was last I looked.

You could use a mail merge but you'll have to recreate the formatting yourself in a word document so that it can use it as a template.

There are certainly free converters from PDF to word, one online one that I have used is <Snip> I'm sure there are many more, but I haven't investigated the situation for some time.

I use VBA to get Google Translate to translate fro one language to another, so it may???? be possible to do the same sort of thing with a conversion service.

Be warned that some of the sites offering to convert PDF to word, only convert to RTF, and that option is already available in Access
