Display option group on report

P: 13
Hello,

I have a form with an option group aka Radio buttons: Option A/B/C, which will populate fields Alpha, Bheta and Charlie (check image).

My goal is to display an option group at the report that will show the results chosen at the form, this is, when opening a record at the form, it will have the option group checked with the correct option.

Another problem is that the table where the values of the Fields are stored receive values of 1/2/3 from the option group selection. Well, this is not useful since, for example, when extracting the information to an excel file, Field Alpha/Bheta/Charlie will present values 1, 2 or 3.

I have been searching for a while but I am unable to find a solution that I can implement.

Can you please help me to overcome this issue?
Thank you.

If you include an OptionGroup control on your report and set the value of the control to the 1/2/3 you have in your table then it will select whichever option matches the value.

Clearly, if you set the values of the various options to A/B/C then you can expect to have difficulties. The values needn't match either the column or the row labels.

Hello NeoPa,

Thank you for your answer. I have managed to solve the first problem with your solution.
Regarding the second problem, what do you recommend in order to have A/B/C in my extracted excel instead of 1/2/3? Maybe using a fuction to make the conversion?

I'm struggling to understand what your reference to Excel in the question was about.

Are you trying to use the Analyse with Excel option when the report has been prepared? Are you, in effect, saying you want it to be 1/2/3 on the report while also being A/B/C for when you analyse that to Excel?

Hello NeoPa,

I will open a new thread with more information (to avoid confusion with this post).
Thank you.
