Crosstab query prompts twice for parameters

My crosstab query calls a union query that prompts for the start data and end date and another criteria.
Sometimes, but not always, the crosstab query prompts *twice* for these parameters.
Is there a fix for this?

I've never experienced such behaviour within a single query. Are you sure this is just the query being run once? Not code invoking anything you're unaware of?

It happens when, after running a query, if you do some 'sorting' of data, access will ask for Parameters two times, every time you re-run it. (Remember, I'm not talking about sorting in design view of the query).
Fix of this is, just carry out sorting in design view and save your query. It will not ask for the parameters twice.
