Rename files from VBA based on a query - v2

https://bytes.com/topic/access/answe...ba-based-query

Can you please post the final results of the above thread.
I have similar problems in trying to take a lot of JPG files and rename them into another folder based on the query.

I have employees photoID that is currently saved according to their full name, I would like to rename the photo with their employee number. They are all JPG files.

Please help.

I tried the above link and this does not work. Please post the final results of how they got this to work.

Just use the system rename() function.

Is there something complex here I don't see?

BTW: If you do this on a Windows machine, the directory slashes are
\ instead of / as on Linux. The \ is the escape sequence control in C so be sure to use \\ in your code. The \\ resolves to \ which is exactly correct for Windows.
