Fingerprint database interpretation

1
Good day,

Please I have a company that every staff have an identity card that is authenticated by the staff fingerprint, I have been away for a couple of month, is there a way or device that I can cnnect to my database to know if it was the real owners of the card that thumb printed during my absence?

Thanks

scy277,

No. Not really. There are always ways of spoofing the system inputs.

Put another way, how would your presence at the time the staff were entered into the database allowed you confidence that all staff members were correctly logged?

Security systems are based on trust. Do you trust the people who recorded the data, or no?

On the other hand, if you want to validate against other databases, you might be able to purchase validation service. It depends on how much you are willing to do.

Good Luck!
