Unable to get results using criteria in same field in multiple tables

I am able to run a simple query using criteria for a particular field in one table. Other tables also have this field present. When I try to run a query in these other tables using criteria for this particular field the results are incorrect. Nothing shows up. However, if i run a query based on another fields in those tables it works.

We would need to see the SQL from your query to be able to help at all.
