How to add fields, that are not database fields, to an XML out put file

I've been asked to produce an XML output from an Access 2003 database. The output has to provide all the field names specified for each record. I can do most of this using aliases in an Access SQL query ... but there are some fields that don't exist in the database. How can I add these (empty) fields other than by manually editing all the records?

Thanks all, Brian

You may be able to use something from Allen's code:
TableInfo() function as a starting point.

basically, the field names have to exist some where/how or Access wouldn't know about them at all... can you be more specific as to how/where these fields are linked/located.
