Update sales information in existing database

I've inherited a Access Sales database that previously pulled sales information for FY2014, I need to update it to pull sales information for FY2015. Can I simply change the criteria from 2014 to 2015 and hit run?

That's not much to go on; thus, both yes and no

If the report is based on a query, or, you are using the query, and that is the value they were using then most likely yes.

However, if the person who designed the query was inexperienced, or perhaps using some other reference, then there is no telling how they set things up.

To determine this, one would need to see the SQL for the query or more detail about the report.

as zmbd (what is your name) asked, it would be helpful to see the SQL.

However, it also seems that you can subtract 6 months from the reporting date and calculate the fiscal year (assuming it is the year of the beginning date, otherwise add 1)

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. FiscalYear: Year(DateSerial(year([reportdate_fieldname]), month([reportdate_fieldname]) -6, day([reportdate_fieldname])))
