Searching using a combo box

Hello,

I've been attempting to create a form that uses a combo box to search the form's subform (see link for the guidance I've been following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8N1hRBdsI1s). If I select an existing table to populate my subform then it shows foreign key numbers for some of the fields rather than showing the common names (the tables are relational). If I create a subform and select fields from multiple tables then I am unable to view the populated records in this subform. It just shows a blank record. I would ideally like to see all records using common names (not primary/foreign key values) and I would like to be able to search them using the combo box. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You will need to create a query that includes all the necessary related tables. Then, instead of including the foreign key field from the main table, include the text field from the related table. Then try your first option.
