trying to reinstall Office 2007

489 256MB
I was having problems with installing the Access developer extension. I tried repairing Office from the install disk, didn't work. So I uninstalled all office 2007, now when I try and install it I get the following message. "D:\pro.\ww\osetup.dll Digital signature does not validate, or is not present" I look at the install disk and the osetup.dll is present. Why will this not install?
I hope someone can help me with this as now I don't have any of the office products installed.

You don't state the OS or Environment (network?)

One thing I have found since WindowXP is that I often will have to open the CD in file explorer, right click on the setup.exe and then "run as administrator" even when using an admin level profile.

I have read where other people with this problem will have region settings that do not match the version the user is attempting to install; ie, USA vs GB etc... so you might check your region settings version of office being installed.

Another option I've heard of is copying the CD contents to a local drive or network share and replacing the offending file with one from another version of Office.

+ make sure you are installing the 32bit version... regardless of what OS you are using.

+ IF you can find the ISO from the MS download server for Office (You might have to order the CD image from this link however, if you have your product key you should be able to download the backup image from the bottom of the page)
Burn or mount the ISO and attempt to install.
