Apply sum at the end of the column to add the numeric values in that column

Dear all,

I am using A2010. My table design is like this:

Table name=Tasks
Column name=Duration(Text)

'But it contains the numeric values.

what I want to do is in the datasheet view the total of all the numeric values present in that column should be calculated and displayed at the end.

I am not sure if it is possible. I tried doing it and found the Count which is not total.

Hope for some suggestions :)

If the column contains numeric data, then don't set the data type as text. Set it as numeric.

Hi Rabbit,

Thanks for your response.

See field "Duration" contains result of start time and end time.(i.e.Diff())

So, What I actually want to perform, can that happen?

because I am not aware if it does.

That doesn't change my suggestion. Once it's converted to numeric data type, you can use a sum.
