how to limit answers to only one in an access form

I have created a form that has 13 possible selections. How can I limit the form so only one selection can be chosen.

Take a look at option groups. An option group combines radio buttons or checkboxes into one object. You could have 13 radio buttons in an option group to accomplish what you want.

Option buttons are certainly one solution; however, you've really not given us enough detail about your application.
