Search Bar on a form

Hey guys,

I'm making a standard hr database for my company. I'm having trouble creating a searchable bar on the form. What i want is to type a name or employee ID in a search bar on the form, and all the information on that employee will be filled in their respective field. I'm using MS Access 2013. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!

NeoPa has collected a lot of information together on how to do this here: http://bytes.com/topic/access/insigh...filtering-form

The trick is to create a Where Clause based on what is entered in one or more TextBoxes and then set the Form's Filter to the Where Clause.

If you are still stuck after reading NeoPa's post, let us know what you are experiencing and we will help you out.
