Binary Comparison in Conditional Formatting

In my project, I use Conditional Formatting to highlight errors in documents. If a String is different from another string, the text box will be highlighted yellow. However, can't seem to enable Binary Comparisons in the Conditional Formatting. When I compare the strings at the Module Level (with Option Compare Binary declared), things work fine.

I would prefer to use the Conditional Formatting tool, as it is much more convenient. Is there a way to do this?

Use the StrComp function. It has a parameter for binary comparison.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. StrComp([Field1],"AbC",0)=0

I don't know of an Option either Form or Database specific that would change to binary comparisons. Doesn't mean there isn't one, but I've never seen one.

Have you tried formatting using an Expression that calls a Function?

No, haven't tried that. Like I say, I can set the Form to Option Compare Binary, and the VBA will properly differentiate between "Happy" and "happy", but the conditional formatting does not. I may just have to stick with VBA comparisons for these particular strings/text boxes....

Thanks, J!
