i am new to vb and need help. I have a mdb named table with 2 fields. I further have

Combobox 1 and combobox 2 in excel. Combobox 1 should show distinct items from field 1, and combobox 2 distinct items from field 2. I have been able to add distinct items to combobox 1.
Concern is, combobox 2 should show items corresponding to item selected in combobox 1.

You will have to provide further clarification on what your issue is. You seem to be talking about Access and Excel interchangeably, but you don't describe the nature of your project.

Have you done any of this in vba? If you're trying to do it without using code, you'll want to change the combo2 datasource to reference Forms!formname!combobox1.value in the where string.

If you can write some code,rebuild the rowsource of combobox 2 in the afterupdate event of combobox one.
