Microsoft Access Security Notice

I have a buttons in my database that point to excel files on my computer. I always get this warning when I click them before I can open the file. Can it be turned off.

1) Which version of Office/Acces/Excel
2) provide the code behind your buttons
3) What is the exact text of the security warning

Yes, I am also looking for the same answer as I have a Microsoft Access database it also happens to me when I open up any excel file that I actually linked.

I added a command button to and add the following code to open excel files:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Application.Followhyperlink "C:\xyz.xlsx"
I'm in for answer :D

titanscomputer,

More likely than not, this error has nothing to do with MS Access, but has to do with the security settings your network and systems administrators have for your computers. Unless you turn off all the security settings, which your network adminstrators won't allow, you just have to live with these warnings. This may affect some features in MS Access VBA automation, such as some e-mail functions, but other than that, it should be nothing to worry about.
