How do you prevent data from splitting up in a report?

2
Hi,

I am currently studying A level ICT and my teacher isn't very good at explaining how to do some aspects of the course.

I was doing a question and I thought i completed it but the data split up, e.g. there would be 3 Armagh fields and maybe 5 Down fields.

How do I stop it and only have 1 field per area?

PDF = Paper January 2013, Question Task DB6
The image is my answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Well, first the image you attached of the report is in what is called report view.
This is NOT how you report will actually print out. Either go to the upper left, or lower right hand corner of your open report and select "Print Preview," this will re-run the underlying query and show you how your report will look at print time.

See if that solves your issue.

Please keep in mind that we're not a homework service; thus, we will NOT do your assignment; however, SHOW YOUR WORK and we'll nudge you in the correct direction.

Please check your Bytes.Com inbox. I'll send you my boiler plate of tutorials and usefull links.

yes i do realise that you are not a homework service i am just asking a question on how to prevent the information from spliting up.

I have tried print preview but, in the image, in the original post there is only meant to be one 1 armagh area 1 down area, etc. but it is spliting up and i am unable to count the number of services and unable to sum up the total cost per area as it is split up.

NO, that is not how the report view works.
You do not always get the pagation nor other formatting you desire in the report view, yes, I know it's stupid; however, that's the way the program works.

You want page formating, then you have to view the report in print preview.
