Print report instead of my switchboard in the background

12
Hi,

I have created a switchboard form called 'HOMEPAGE' which stays open all the time while a user is using the database. The HOMEPAGE has all the buttons to generate reports and allows user to navigate to other forms within the database.

Problem: When I generate a report from the HOMEPAGE, the report (Group Report) will open up in report view with its Popup property set to YES, Modal set to NO. Then, when I click print/print preview to print this report out, it will print out the layout of the HOMEPAGE instead.

What have i missed in the setup of my report/switchboard? Appreciate your help on this.

Thank you!

My understanding of how this works is that Access uses the form/report that isn't a popup when you go to File>Print. What you can do is put a button in the report header. If you have the Control Wizard to automatically popup, then you will have the option to have it create the macro necessary to print the report. Then all you have to do is set its Display When property to Screen Only so that the button isn't shown on the printed report.

Make sense! Thanks Seth. Sorry for the late reply though as I was bogged down with other stuff at work.
