I am not sure I follow your question. It is possible to set the Select Query as the record source for your form and then set the Form View property to Datasheet. Give us an example of what you have tried to far and the results you are getting.

I have one solution and it works.
Create a main form and insert your desired form (which is required in datasheet view) as subform in that form.
Now when you open your main form through command button, you will find your desired result.
