How Prevent Line Breaks in a Field after 256 Characters

I have a field in a query I've been creating that is sometimes very long, and Access seems to be inserting a line break at 256 characters. Is there a way to prevent the automatic line break? Am I just missing something simple in Field Properties? I need to export the query to a csv file, and the line break prevents the entire field from being included in the output. I do not want to use an update query, by the way. I do not want to change the source data at all. Any help is appreciated.

And your version of MS Access is? Table field type? You are talking about real line breaks, not all data cut off/lost after 255 characters, also in the table?

At the table level, Text fields are limited to 255 characters.
You also need to tell us how you are sending the query to csv, depending on your method, even Memo fields are often truncated at 255... it's a "feature" as MS-Tech-Support might say. ;)
