QUERIES are NOT tables!!!
Queries are "Views" of a table.
They return fields and values based upon criteria.
They can act upon the underlying table, either by allowing the user to directly edit, add, or delete the underlying TABLE's data.
Some queries are called "action" queries in that they can and do act upon tables or the table structure.
The only way to "remove" record from a query, without deleting it from the table, is to write the SQL for the query in such a manner that the constraints exclude the record.
