Populating an Unbound Field on a form

I am trying to populate two unbound fields on a form and then use those two fields as a basis for calculating the value of a third unbound. As follows:

field 1 = count of all records in a file
Field 2 = count of all records in that same file where field XYZ = "Y"
field 3 = (field2/field1 * 100)

I seem to get nothing but #error in whichever approach I take. Can someone point me in the right direction?

You need to show us how you attempting do this...
If by code then please read thru this first: > Before Posting (VBA or SQL) Code

If that doesn't help then we'll need more details.
