" The LinkMasterFields property setting has produced this error: 'A problem occurred while was communcating eith OLE server or ActiveX control' "

I copied the file to another computer, It works normally!!

What version of Access are you using? Is the operating system the same on all machines involved?

The LinkMasterField helps define the linke between a main form and a subform. Perhaps the problem involves an object on a sub-form. Have you got some OLE object that requires another program, a program that is not installed this machine?

I'm using office 2007 with windows 7 on all machines.

I tried with office 2003 but also I have the problem.

Can you confirm that you have a sub-form on the form? If so, look closely at the objects on that sub-form. Make a test copy of your db and start deleting objects one at a time to see if you can make the problem disappear that way. If yes, then we can examine the problem object.

I've also read that this can be a phantom problem that can be made to go away like this:
Copy/paste the form to a new name
delete the old, original form.
rename the pasted version to be the old, original name

I don't know if we'd be talking about the main form or sub-form in that particular scenario, so it's up to you to experiment and see what, if anything, works.

backup the database.
Under database tools do a compact and repair.

if that doesn't help then next step is to create a new database file and import everything into the new database.

this seems to occure when ACC2003 native files are used in ACC2007 or worse yet by both versions.
