Unneccessary Duplicating Records in Access

I have an Access database that uses specification numbers for placing orders for customers. When The specification number is duplicated for a new order it duplicates the information in all records with that specification number. Can this be stopped?

Your thread has been moved to the Access forum.

Probably. We would need to know how you're doing it.

I use a Spec Number as a product name. All tables are linked through this Spec Number(Relationships). Orders repeat Spec Numbers but do not repeat shipping dates. When I pull up reports based on the shipping dates, it shows all items with the same Spec Number whether they apply to the date I use or not. It shows diferent order numbers but for example the quantities are for the one shipped on the date used for the report. It only does this for items where the Spec Number is repeated. I have tried using Unique Records and Values, but nothing changes. I cannot change the Spec Numbers or our Production Department wouldn't know what to produce. If you think this sounds confusing, imagine how I feel trying to explain it. Thanks for the help. If you need more information, let me know.

I meant we need to see the code so we can track down where the duplication is occurring.

Not sure what you mean. I am not a programmer and do things by trial and error. Since the last post though, I have figured out the problem. It was one too many tables in my query. Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.
