How to make Access update a website catalog (including images)

Hi all,

My company has an catalog of about 6000 items. Old items are discontinued, and new items are added, on a weekly basis. The owner keeps a very basic website catalog online for when he wants to make ads for the upcoming weeks. The website features all of the items, placed into categories, with a picture and prices for each item. I have written a program that grabs all of the new pictures of the items from our manufacturers FTP server and places them on my server. The file names are also converted to be the sku number of the item (there is never a duplicate sku).

His website is updated on a weekly basis by running a "slot report" (shows all items we currently carry) every week. We compare the newest one to the previous week. Discontinued items are moved to the discontinued folder and new items get their prices and pics from our server and we place them online.

I have automated the slot report comparison using a pretty simple access program.

My question is:

How can I automate pulling a picture from a local file system and a sku from a server (ODBC database)and some how get that to update a website?

Or for starters, how could I get access to pull a pic and a sku and keep a running database of pics and pricing?

So sorry for how long this has gotten.

I'm not sure I understand the question.

It sounds like you're already doing most of it. The only thing that seems to be missing is the price. I feel like I'm missing something because it sounds like you pretty much have what you want.
