How to concatenate multiple select queries

Hi,

I have a table as given in the sample below. I should be able to select records that have reviews in May-2013 with project type = XX (desired result given below). How can this be done? I am fairly new to Access. Can anyone please help me with the query to accomplish this? Many Thanks.

As a rule of thumb, I don't open attachments from strangers. Please post all relevant information in the thread itself.

But if you want to combine the results of multiple queries, you can use a union or union all.

The problem is that your data is not normalized, that makes it more difficult to create queries. We have an article about normalization here: http://bytes.com/topic/access/insigh...ble-structures

Thank you, Rabbit for the quick response. I imported this data from an Excel spreadsheet that has 36 columns related to projects and 100s of records. So, is it possible in Access to create tables with table1 having project names, types and other related field and another table (table2) for review dates and then import the data from excel into those particular tables(i.e) the project name, type etc data to table1 and review dates into table 2? Like I said before I am new to Access and learning it. Thank you for your patience and would appreciate your guidance in creating the database.

Thanks,
Usumban

In a situation where data comes to you unnormalized, you can create a series of queries to normalize the data. What those queries would be depends on how you design your tables. In your case, I think you're right, you would only need two tables. One for project and one for review. Then you just need two queries to insert the right data into each.
