override default value in new table row through subform

I have a subform based on a table (Keywords) and one of the fields (Thesaurus) has a default value or "theme" (because that is the overwhelming choice). I have a button on the main form that when pressed, I'd like to add a new row to the Keywords table, but I'd like the Thesaurus field to be set to "place" instead.
