How Do I Add PDF as Attachment to Email

Hello,

I have main table, few tables connected to main by foreign key storing data from different processes. One of the tables stores attachments for products from main table (data sheets, specs etc).

I have no problem creating a query with needed data and creating a report which by using macro is sent in pdf. through Outlook

My question is what should I do to add attachments to the report in email generated by macro?

MainTable
ProductID / ProductName etc

- You're going to find that most of us do not use the Macro language, preferring instead, VBA.

- Your question is muddled a bit by using the term "attachments" in two contexts. What I think you are asking is: "How do I send the Report as a PDF attachment to an Email?"

V2010:
With out using any VBA nor Macro at all, once the report is open, in the Ribbon, look to the far right, in the "Data" group is a series of icons two options for you:
- Now you can click on the one labeled "PDF or XPS" follow the prompts and your report will be saved/exported to a pdf document that you can manually insert into your email.
- You can click on the one labeled "E-Mail" follow the prompts to select the output as PDF. This will create the PDF document and start your default E-Mail client for you to edit the message and finish addressing it before send.

(*) if you need a VBA/Macro solution to this, then we will need to know what you are using for your default email client ans we will need to know which version of Access and Office you are using

V2007:
Will be along the same lines; however, you will have to download the PDF patch/option as I don't think V2007 will do this native.

For all other versions you will have to use a third party PDF document creation program. There are several free/shareware/commercial type available each with +/-'s and beyond the scope of this site to provide recommendation.
