Duplicate Record form button creates blank record

I am relatively new to Access (2010) and I am having difficulties in making a duplicate record button that was created with the wizard work correctly. I have a very simple database and form. To create the form with the duplicate record button, I copied a different form I created which is for new records. When I click on the duplicate record button I created, Access brings up a blank form (there is no data copied over from the previous record).

I am trying to duplicate the record so that I am able to have a historical log of all data that was entered for a particular record.

Can anyone assist with making the duplicate record work or have any alternative for creating historical records.

Here is a link to a an explanation of how to audit record changes in your database: Creating an Audit Log

As your question currently lacks any of the details that would be required in such work this would not be trivial. Please post what you have now with an explanation of what doesn't work and, if code crashes, where it does so. These are basic elements of any such question, that you may get away without knowing as you're a new member (Though why common sense doesn't come into play is beyond me).

Please add the required information before proceeding further.
