Select a Record from form and use that records source to open a form

Hi Good Morning,

I am in position to solve a problem in MS access 2007.

Problem:
I have a Main form and contains subform. Based on combo selection the subform records are displayed. Main form and subform are using the same table. But, in subform there are mulitple records are displaying, based on user's selection in the subform, the record will be selected (Just three fields) and this records will be the source of opening other form.

Example:
Table x -
item code group pd loc
1 abc 10/12/12 NY
1 abc 11/12/12 AZ
1 abc 12/12/12 MD

If user wants to select record 2, what code/ procedure we can do?
How can we use this record as source to open a New subform?

Please help and your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks!

Welcome to BYTES!

You have two questions here... please only ask one question per thread.

Question 1:
If user wants to select record 2, what code/ procedure we can do?
What are you asking?
What can you do... you could call a function that calculates the root-mean-square to the 100th decimal place of the inherent error made by weighing out 1 mole of carbon atom by atom using a carbon nanotube resonator.

Question 2:
How can we use this record as source to open a New subform?
Yes.

Please decide which question to pursue in this thread and post the other in a new thread.
