Want to forcast number of projects completed per year

I put that into my query and it gave me the year that the mod will be completed. Hopefully I did that right=).

But how do i get to a Quantity of projects complete per year. For instance I am starting with a dataset that has a single record(Table1 Above) with a run rate(Units/Day) and a Qty to complete(Total Units). I need to take that dataset and create an output that will have all future years(table2). So I should end up with a record for every year and Projected completion in the future untill the project is closed.

I split Soulspike's post from the original thread:
http://bytes.com/topic/access/answer...on#post3727357

<For reference:>
Soulspikes tables:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. table1
  2. Project      Units/day    Total_Units
  3. Project 1    4.29         259
  4. Project 2    1.94         152
  5. Project 3    3.19          82
  6. Project 4    2.30          72
  7. Project 5    0.16          70
  8.
  9.
  10. Table2
  11. Project      Year      Units_Forcasted
  12. Project 1    2012         100
  13. Project 1    2013         100
  14. Project 1    2014          59
  15. Project 2    2012         125
  16. Project 2    2013          27
Note that table 2 is just an example and is not actualy based on the numbers as shown in table one:

The calculated field of reference takes the production numbers in table one and returns the year the target should be reached: Format(DateAdd("y", ((tgt)/(upd/dpy)), startdate), "yyyy")

Soulspike,
I’ve pondered your question for a few moments and have decided that there is some missing information.
You can only calculate the estimated number of projects completed per year from the data given in table 1. To calculate the actual number of projects completed per year would require the actual production for the year, not the anticipated production.
From what you have we MIGHT be able to determine the estimated projects completed.
You’ll need to take a stab at writing the equation first before we can actually help and it would be most helpful to have the scope within this question is working.
