Calculate Average in Access Pivot Chart

Is there way to show data as an average in Access pivot chart? It is currently defaulted to show sum for the data fields in the chart but I need to show the data as an average.

I must admit that crosstab and pivots are a week point for me; however, I do believe that the underlying query can be changed to use the average instead of sum or count within the data part of the query.

The following has the basic overview of how to do this:

In Access 2007, you right click one of the measure cells, go to autocalc, and select average.
