Filter report based off choice in combo-box

P: 1

I'm totally stumped on this one. I'm trying to create a button called "Run Report" that opens a report based off a selection made in a combo box then filtered by a column in the report called "Status".

So, In my combo box one of the options is "for signature". If I pick "for signature" in my combo box then hit the button, I want my report to pop up with the status column filtered showing only reports with the status of for signature.

My combo box is feeding off a table called status which is a list of all the different ways I would want the report filtered. Like, for signature, for review, for corrections etc.

Right now I have:
DoCmd.OpenReport "Decorations Pending", acViewPreview, , "[Status]"= & Me![Combo72], acWindowNormal

When I click the button I get a syntax error.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Assuming that your status field is text in the report source:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. DoCmd.OpenReport "Decorations Pending", acViewPreview, , "[Status]='" & Me![Combo72] & "'", acWindowNormal
