Application.printer functionality no longer working on XP?

Hi

I was using successfully for over 1 year the
Set Application.Printer = Application.Printers("Epson FX-80")

however for somereason now this line causes access to hang up nothing releases I have to kill the application.

Any ideas of what the problem might be?

Access 2003 WinXP

Only that it sounds very much like it's not an Access issue but one related to how that particular printer is set up within your OS.

NeoPa Hi
Thanks for the response.

I agree that it must be system OS related but can't seem to find anykind of way to pinpoint or solve it. Any suggestions?

Regards

Very little I'm afraid Meir. Only that it's the sort of problem that's very rare when printers are set up centrally and consistently. This is something that very few systems administrators understand I'm afraid (from my experience as one of them).
