Subform doesn't display on main form

This is going to be hard to explain and to get you what you need to help me. I have a order form that as the user enters items they should show up in a subform. When the user opens the Order Input form the subform area is blank. The main form and subform are linked with ordernumber the user can enter items into the order and they are put into the ordertrans table but you don't see then displayed on the form. Now I have an edit form that when the user calls up the order everything shows up. The edit form has the main form and the subform. I've tried removing the subform in the input screen and reentered it but still shows up blank. I'm using Access 2007
Let me know what else you need that will help me find this problem.
Thanks for any help

Indeed, hard to understand what you trying to do.
As a suggestion, try to re_query your sub form each time when you modify something that must be shown in that sub form.
Use for that the After Update event in the main form.

I recall having a similar situation once, allthough its quite a while back so I don't recall the exact details.

I believe it had something to do with the subform having AllowAdditions=False, causing it not to show when there were no matching records. I suggest you try looking into the properties of the subform.

Another property to check is .DataEntry. That would be my first guess to be fair.

All of the above suggestions I've checked out and everything looks good. I use the same subform when I call up to edit the order and it works great there. When I try to enter a new order the subform area is blank just like I've got visible set to No. I've tried the DataEntry both Yes and No still nothing, tried the AllowAdditions both ways nothing. I do have a re-query of the subform. Any other suggestions.

I found the problem. In the code there was a ordertranssubform.top command when I eliminated it the form showed up. This is some old code and I didn't even think to search it. Thanks for all your help.
