Invalid Reference Expression

P: 9

I am trying to add a field from another table using the lookup wizard. However, Access will not allow me to add this field using the lookup wizard. This message pops up, "You entered an expression that has an invalid reference to the property I (<----this is supposed to be a line. I don't know if that detail makes a difference) The property may not exist or may not apply to the object you specified." Then I press OK and another message appers, "Microsoft Office Access couldn't launch the lookup wizard, or this wizard has been disabled. Rerun the Microsoft Access or Microsoft Access setup program, click Add/Remove, and select the wizards check box. To reenable this wizard, click About Microsoft Office Access on the Help menu and then click the Disabled Items button to view a list of admins which you can enable."

What does this message mean? I think I am supposed to go to the Microsoft Access Setup program, but I don't know where this is. Also, I am trying to create a lookup wizard for a field expression in a query so I don't know if this is why this message is popping up and won't let me add this new lookup wizard field. Someone please help.

Usually the setup program is on a DVD disk.
Ask the IT team about.

If you are lucky maybe you can find the kit in your computer searching by all files and folders with the word "Office".
But to install programs is not a job for the very PC beginners.
Of course if is your home computer you can try to do this without risks.

If you wish to design your own application I recommend to instal Access (at least Access; better is entire Office) at full.
This way almost all tools for developers will be available.
