Making a day unavailable

I've made a database with 3 bands available for booking, what I want to do is make it so that if a particular band, and the day sunday was selected, an error would come up and notify the user that the bands unavailable due to religion reasons (just to include more functions in my data)
can someone help me do this?
I tried the
If Me.Band = For Christ' Sake" and Day = Sunday then MsgBox. "Sorry this bands unavailable"

any help please?

I would use the Before Insert event to check for an overlapping record, if the record exists, cancel the insert. You could use the DCount() function to do the check.
