Cascading Deletes and Updates

10
Hello everyone,
I have a form-1 with a subform-B in it. When I try to add a new record it gives me an error that I cannot add record the joins key of table <name> not in result set. When I try to delete the record it does not delete the record from the subform-B. I checked the 1 to many relationship and the boxes for for the cascading delete and update are checked. If anyone can help me fix this it would be greatly appreciated.

Also I have another form that has subform-B as the main form and the form-1 is the subform. This one works correctly when updating and deleting. I didn't know if this was related to my problem.
Thanks

A relationship is one-way. It sounds like you have a form that's trying to reverse that. You can't do that. If you set up a "parent" / "child" relationship, you can't create a form where you have the "child" as the "parent".

It's very difficult to help you unless you include the relevant details of the question. In this case that must include a clear description of any relationship defined (which obviously includes (but is not limited to) the names of the tables and linked fields).
