Displaying 1 ID's record from query in a form from combo-box

Hello,
I am new to Access (trying to read things online and create database as I go). I have been creating an inventory database. The database contains hundreds of wells with their equipment. Right now I am focused on the tanks. Each well may have an oil or water tank. For these tanks the sizes can vary.

I had a crosstab query showing the count of each type of tank (counted volumes of oil tanks in one row and water in another). Now, I need to have a form that displays the query results for just ONE well using a combo-box or something similar. I cannot figure out how to do this when the query is a subform on my form. Thank you for any help.

Have a play with Example Filtering on a Form. You may find it helps you to understand what you actually want.

NeoPa,
I played around with the example some. As I said I am brand new to Access last week so just having to learn by trial and error. I see the filters work with a table, would they work with a query somehow in a form? Also, what if instead of panning through all the results of account type 2 you wished to see them in a table below? Thank you for your assistance.

Filtering works on the record source whatever that may be, so yes. It works with queries too.

If you want to see all the results displayed as continuous data instead of only one record at a time then you would need to set the View of the form (A property) to Continuous Forms.
