I would say just go on Amazon or do a Google search. There are a wide array of books out there. Mostly though, you will learn as you go, with assistance from the help pages.

I wish to warn you about starting with Excel VBA.

I also start with Excel VBA but is not (in my opinion) the best start because Access is most powerful.

So, my advice is to start with Access.
Of course, the choice is yours.

I wouldn't agree with that last comment exactly. In some respects that may be wise advice, but not in all situations necessarily. For financial modelling Excel is probably the most interesting. I suspect Mihail is thinking of data manipulation, where Access is the stronger package.

Here are some tutorial links anyway :
  1. Microsoft Access Tutorial.
  2. Microsoft Access Tutorials (Strive4Peace).
  3. Microsoft Office Tutorials.
  4. VBA Tutorial (Excel).

They may not all suit you but I expect you'll find some of them very helpful.

Also, you need to understand the Object Model of Excel/Access
